Since happiness can't be described in a single definition, we have looked into areas from 3 perspectives; health, hope, and harmony. Abundant of research studies are conducted. In terms of health, mental health, physical health, and emotional health impact happiness of the subject. Regarding hope, goal achievement, economical growth, and personal growth co-relates with happiness. As of harmony, social, family, cultural, religious, and environmental harmony relates with happiness.

With that in mind, we decided that it is critical to focus on the appropriate determinants that have impact on the Nepali youths.

Also, we looked at how "determinant of happiness" is studied in research, where many researchers are citing and basing their theories and research methods.

This will give us a hint to spot the determinants for our study.

After collecting some data on the perception of happiness in Nepali youths, we had a discussion on the comparison of perception on happiness between Nepali and Japanese Youth.

The data was collected based on the study run by the Japanese government.

We selected 20 questions and collected data from 40 participants in Nepal.

Since the target population was small, it was difficult to conclude that the data shows the generalization of the Nepali youths.

Also, interestingly, some people raised that the negative aspects of well-being should be in spotlight.
